A few people have asked, so I thought I would put it on here, just in case.....
If you know someone, or hear of someone, wanting to make an adoption plan for their baby, please give them the link to our profile on HOPE's website. I've posted the link in an earlier blog, but here it is again:

Thanks for keeping us in mind for situations that come up!

Ok God, We're ready when You are!
Hello!
Not sure who all is even still following this, but just thought I would give a current update. Not that there's much to update, however. We have had a couple situations come up, but nothing that is right for us.
This whole "waiting game" is a very strange feeling. I don't quite know how to convey it, but we wake up every morning and get ready for the day, just as we always do. And then all of the sudden the phone rings. And although none of the situations have worked out yet, we see how our life could truly change in one phone call. How do you prepare for that???
Well we have all of the "big" things that we would need if it did happen very quickly. We would be ready! Now, we just continue to wait for THE phone call that will connect us with OUR Birth Mother.
Thanks for all the prayers and support thus far... we couldn't do it without you!
Love,
Ryan and Christa

We're on!
So we are finally on the website! This means that when Birth Mothers go on HOPE's website, they will be able to see our picture and a brief summary of our profile. Then if they are interested, they can contact HOPE to see our profile and get more information about us.... Very exciting! Now, we wait some more..... but at least the Holidays will keep us occupied for a bit!
Here's the site if you want to check it out... http://www.hopeadoptionservices.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=35&Itemid=18 Click on our names at the bottom. :)
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!
We are sure excited for what this year will (hopefully) bring!

Update on the ND BM
Our social worker emailed us Friday to tell us that the Birth Mother in ND was working with several agencies, and the Evangelical agency that contacted HOPE, told her that she had to commit to working only with them. So she is no longer working with that agency, and therefore, no longer connected to HOPE.
So now we are just waiting for HOPE to finish up our home study, which should be anytime now, and then we'll fill out the paperwork to get our bio up on their website. That will mean that Birth Mothers will be able to view a brief paragraph on us and then can contact HOPE to view our complete profile. Also, when HOPE is working with Birth Mothers, they will take a copy of our profile with to show them, if we are open to their situation.
Hope you're all "dug out!" Have a Happy Holidays!

Waiting....
You'd think after 5 years, I'd have a lot more patience than I do.... it just doesn't seem to get any easier. I think I need to find some productive ways to pass the time!
Well there's really no new news to share. We still haven't heard anything on the ND Birth Mother. It is nice to know that she's due Early January, so either way we will know in the next month. Till then.....

While we wait.....
This weekend we picked up the crib! Thanks Mom and Dad for your help! Saturday, Ryan assembled it, while I put up Christmas decorations. Yes, I know it is not even Thanksgiving yet, but all the new snow put me in the Christmas mood, and I figured I better do it while I have the time and desire! It took quite a lot of time! So Ryan assembled the crib, most of the way, we were missing a bag of washers. It looks beautiful! I am so happy I did my research and found this one!
This morning I talked to one of our social workers and she said that the agency in ND is meeting with the Birth Mother today to show her the profiles! Praying hard now!! It will just be nice, to hear either way soon.
I came across this article and thought I would share it, to give you a little insight into what we are experiencing in these beginning stages: Adoption article
Until next time......
