Baby Doyle... Coming soon!

We are so excited to announce that Baby Boy Doyle will be here in June!
We have continue the emails with the Birth Mother in Missouri, and finally talked with her on the phone for the first time last night!
I was so nervous right before we dialed, and told Ryan he would have to do much of the talking :)
But... It could not have gone more perfectly!! And Ryan barely got a word in, between Michelle and myself!
We talked for about 45 minutes and learned so much about her and her family.  She has 3 boys: 11, 6, and 4. She has so much love for this baby, but knows that financially, she can't make it work.
She has an older brother who is adopted, and her mom has been telling her how worried she was throughout the process that his birth mom would change her mind.... Her Mom has told her to constantly reassure us that this is the decision she has made, and is comfortable with it.  That has been so helpful for us!!
We are still in the process of researching all of the legal things that need to be done to complete this adoption, but we are so excited!!
It feels perfect!!

Thank you for all of your prayers! I think they have finally been answered!!

Wow it's been awhile!!

So it's been quite awhile since the last time I wrote anything.... pretty sure no one is still reading this, but I guess we will find out.....

We never thought that we would still be in this "waiting game," a year later (NOT a very fun game).  Nevertheless, we are still here, currently doing paperwork to renew our home study.  There have been a few situations come up with our agency, and by situations I mean, they call us to tell us of a Birth Mom situation and ask if we want them to take our profile to show her.  Each time we say yes, and we sit on pins and needles waiting to hear if she wants to meet us.  We have yet to meet with a Birth Mother.  Thankfully, I have not taken any of the situations personally, things just keep seeming to come up that do not make us compatible.

A little over 3 months ago, our agency put on a seminar on Birth Mother outreach and what we can do to try to "be found" sooner.  We were skeptical about going, as we thought this was something our agency should be doing.  Regardless, we went to the class and were so thankful we did!  We learned so much!!

Many of you have seen the video we made for You Tube.  That was one of the suggestions.   Here's the link if you want to see it Our Video .
Anyways, we made this video and made a page on Facebook.  The very next day (or maybe even that same day) we received an email from a Birth Mother in Missouri who had seen our video.  She is a single mother of 3 boys and is pregnant with her fourth.  She has said she is "comfortable" financially currently, but knows she could not support another child.  She works in the foster care system and knows what can happen when a mother takes on more that she can handle.

We have been emailing back and forth ever since and are planning on Skyping with her soon!
We are very hopeful but also trying to keep some guards up to protect ourselves.   That's the hard part... At some point we are going to have to invest fully.  Let Go and Let God, right?!?  We are working on getting there.  It's still early (she's due 7-7-12) but the more we talk, the more comfortable and hopeful we get!

Keep the prayers coming!

Holding on to HOPE!
